Tyler Haney, E.I.T.
design engineer: structural
thaney
|
Professional Registrations:
Idaho - EIT 6070
California - PE 72803 |
|
Tyler has been with Treasure
Valley Engineers, Inc. for a number of years starting in 2001 as a
high school intern. Since then, Tyler has graduated from the
University of Idaho with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering with
special emphasis in Structural Engineering, became a registered
Engineer-in-Training in Idaho and a licensed
Professional Engineer in California.
Tyler has had his hand in everything from various
civil/structural projects, computer-aided drafting, surveying
services, IT support, and website design/maintenance.
Tyler’s favorite projects are:
Gramercy with Erstad Architects and the design of a concrete vault
rack for Memorial Monuments. Gramercy, a four-building commercial
development, required the design of numerous steel moment frames and
creative design for a unique barrel entryway.
The concrete vault rack Tyler designed holds six rows of concrete burial vaults (approx. 4000 lbs each)
stacked three high and three deep. The challenge in the design
was that it needed to be simple enough for “the common Joe” to
install meaning 100% bolted connections. The fun part was that the
design was up to the engineer and creativity lead to
increased savings on steel and labor.
